Background

Dr. Teresa Clarke has been a staff physician at the Complex Chronic Diseases Program (CCDP) at BC Women’s Hospital the past 10 years. She was a family physician before training in acupuncture with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada in 1995. She has since included acupuncture in her medical career working in a multidisciplinary pain program and private practice with a special interest in chronic pain and fatigue disorders. At the CCDP she provided acupuncture services for several years to the patient population living with fibromyalgia, myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome and chronic Lyme-like disease.  In 2019 she developed a webinar program teaching CCDP patients across BC the techniques of self-acupressure to manage chronic symptoms, improve well-being and self-efficacy.
