Kathleen has been Nurse Practitioner with the Acute Pain Service at BC Children’s for the last 2 and a half years. Prior to this Kathleen was Clinical Nurse Specialist with both the Acute and Complex Pain Services at Alberta Children’s Hospital. As a pediatric nurse of almost 30 years, and proud ‘old ICU nurse’ Kathleen has made pain assessment and management a priority in her nursing care and education of others. Most recently, Kathleen has been extensively involved with BC Children’s application for Child Kind certification, a promise to patients and families that pain and comfort are at the centre of all clinical encounters.
